Twenty-one of the 27 New Testament books are letters. Paul wrote 13 of those; the other 8 are known as general letters. This course explores in some detail the eight general letters: Hebrews, James, 1-2 Peter, 1-3 John, and Jude.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Explain main theological themes of the general letters.
  • Evaluate the authorship, date, and historical occasion of each general letter.
  • Outline and describe the literary structure of each general letter.
